Alan Watt began his career in Canada as an actor and stand up comic. He spent fifteen years headlining clubs throughout North America and has appeared on many comedy shows, from Caroline's Comedy Hour to Montreal's Just For Laughs International Comedy Festival. His one-hour comedy special, Life is Beautiful, was the highest rated comedy special when it first aired on Canada's The Comedy Network. He is founder of L.A. Writers' Lab (lawriterslab.com) a private writing workshop where he teaches his 90-Day Novel and 90-Day Screenplay workshops in-person and online to students around the world. He lectures frequently on creativity throughout the country from maximum-security prisons to USC's MBA program. He has published three books on writing. His textbook, The 90-Day Novel was Amazon's #1 Book on Writing for five months. Watt is also the bestselling author of the novels, Diamond Dogs (Little, Brown) which won a number of awards including France's 2004 Prix Printemps (best foreign novel) and Days Are Gone. His writing/directing debut, Interior Night, won Best International Feature Film at the Catalina Film Festival and is the recipient of the Filmmakers Visionary Award from the Boston Film Festival.
