Brent Downs

Brent James Downs was born in Greenville, Illinois on November 12, 1973. He attended school in South Florida beginning in Jupiter then completing high school in Ft. Lauderdale. During this times he discovered music, playing guitar then settling into bass ("the guitar was just too small of an instrument!") in several local rock bands. While in college he formed the all-original rock band Fools & Critters with long-time friends Mark H and Ray D and began a 5-year run playing the Florida rock club circuit & writing and recording 2 CD releases, "Flinging Powdered Doughnuts" and "Does This Look Infected To You?". The band garnered attention with it's catchy music and visual stage presentation by local music press and radio. Brent graduated From Florida Atlantic University with a degree in geography, a pursuit inspired by his love of travel and favorite movie, Raiders of the Lost Ark. He minored in communications including radio production. After graduation, Brent fulfilled 2 lifelong goals becoming a geography teacher and joining the Coast Guard Reserve eventually attending Officer Candidate School. Having never lost his creative drive, He pursues challenging and fun acting roles while continuing to play and write music on the electric bass/vocals. Show less «
