Don Orsillo

Don Orsillo became play-by-play broadcaster for the Boston Red Sox cable network New England Sports Network (NESN) in 2001. His first game as Red Sox broadcaster, on April 5, 2001, was an historic event as Hideo Nomo pitched a no-hitter against the Baltimore Orioles in the second game of the season, the first Red Sox no-hitter since 1965. He had been the announcer for the Red Sox AAA affiliate in Pawtucket, Rhode Island. He had also done play-by-play work for the Springfield (Mass.) Falcons of the AHL. Show less «
