Evan Michael (Pinsonnault) is an EMMY-winning host, actor, comedian & writer who now calls Hollywood his home after a noteworthy career in politics and broadcasting. He grew up in the scenic Berkshires of western Massachusetts with a love for theatre & performance. His father Bernie, a local insurance agent, and his mother Jan, a middle-school science teacher, shared the arts with Evan from a young age and he's kept them close ever since. Before pursuing a full-time career as an actor & entertainer in 2015, Evan held a variety of interesting and memorable professions in cities across the country. He worked on Capitol Hill as a U.S. Senate staff member and later on a Presidential campaign in Washington, D.C., where he also attended The George Washington University, majoring in political science and minoring in theatre, respectively. After graduating with an M.S. in Broadcast Journalism & Communications from the renowned Newhouse School in Syracuse, he returned to the Beltway and worked as a Capitol Correspondent for local ABC news affiliates. From there, he reported the news and anchored sports in Macon, GA, all the while moonlighting in a number of productions & musicals at the prestigious Theatre Macon and even a few feature films. In fact, Evan made his credited film debut as none other than a TV reporter in Steve Balderson's "Stuck!" while in Macon. His on-air and on-stage work in The South then led him to The Midwest where he settled into the morning anchor chair for the CBS affiliate in Lansing, MI and as a main player & performer at the popular Riverwalk Theatre downtown. He used his passion for performance and the arts to produce a number of award-winning feature segments that highlighted Michigan's growing theatre & film scene, even serving on a handful of local boards that benefited the arts, scholarships for students pursuing performance-based careers, area museums and the region's jazz & blues culture. It was in Mid-Michigan where Evan also began a successful career as a host & presenter outside of his everyday duties as an anchor & journalist. He hosted the nationally-acclaimed Common Ground Music Festival for four years, introducing & interviewing countless Grammy-winning stars and Rock N' Roll HOF legends. He was the auctioneer & emcee behind a number of MSU & Spartan-organized charity events, working with such notable names as Tom Izzo and Magic Johnson. He moderated the state's candidate election debate for Congress. He was a correspondent, interviewer and guest judge on the hit show "Dancing Pros Live" with Edyta Sliwinska & the late Alan Thicke. And he co-chaired the prestigious Capital Area United Way campaign helping to raise millions of dollars for community-based programs promoting education, financial stability & health. But it was creating his own variety show that aired throughout the state and even into Canada that left a lasting mark on his personal and professional life. Alongside Hollywood-veteran-turned-Michigan-radio-host Taylor Kelsaw & acclaimed band leader John Dale Smith, Evan wrote, produced and hosted "The Evan Michael Show", a throwback variety program featuring sketch comedy, entertainment reports, guest interviews and special performances from area celebrities & stars. His enthusiasm, time and talents in this arena of entertainment led Evan to Los Angeles, where he's continuing the calling right now. Some of his favorite stage & screen roles include award-winning turns as Gomez Addams in "The Addams Family Musical"; Lt. Sam Weinberg in "A Few Good Men" and Buddy Fidler in "City of Angels"; a reporter on the hit show "American Crime Story"; the boxing ring announcer alongside Laila Ali in the feature film "Gun"; a news anchor who shares the desk with Bill Moseley in the horror feature "I Am Fear"; the boss of Police Academy's Michael Winslow for a series of Free Conference Call commercials; and the game-show host of Adult Swim's "Right or Wha?" on-air promotion with State Farm. Since 2017, Evan has also played the spokesman character "Versa Vick" for the electric sit-to-stand desk company Versa Products, Inc based in Los Angeles.Evan recently wrapped a 2.5 year national tour of "Peppa Pig Live", based off the popular Nick, Jr. cartoon series, where he played, voiced and puppeteered the characters of Daddy Pig, Mr. Bull, Danny Dog and the Orange! He also starred in the U.S. theatrical debut of "Alice in Wonderland Live" at the El Portal Theatre in North Hollywood as the Caterpillar & Dormouse. When he's not on-stage making kids and families laugh (and oink), you can see him performing at various UCB and stand-up comedy shows throughout the greater Los Angeles area, hear him on a number of commercials & voice-over projects or find him on the links keeping his handicap in the single-digits.In his spare time, he enjoys golfing, wine-tasting, sleeping-in and creating new ways to make people laugh, smile and feel good, with his most recent projects being an award-winning mockumentary series about local news -- "This Just In" -- that he wrote, directed and acted in; an entertaining game show that puts a brand new spin on the classic trivia format; and a sci-fi comedy pilot script currently in development.
