Fred Rowan

Frederick "Fred" Rowan was born in Melbourne, Australia. He studied Drama at Victoria College, Rusden. His first professional work was in the duo Crimestoppers. In 1993 he began working solo as a comedian. He worked on several TV shows in the nineties: Blue Heelers, Something Hot Before Bed, Eric, The Big Schmooze In 2004 he appeared in Kath and Kim. While performing comedy he began writing plays.I Killed debuted at the 2009 Melbourne Fringe Festival. La Mama produced his second piece Death of a Comedian in December 2012. He performed in the Canvas Town at the 2010 Melbourne Cabaret Festival, at the Butterfly Club. He performed a season of Welcome to Fred World the next year.
