Jon Juaristi

Jon Juaristi Linacero (Bilbao 1951) is a prestigious Basque intellectual whose work covers the novels, essays, poetry, and translation of Basque and Spanish. In his university stage he was part of the Marxist split of ETA called the VI Assembly, to later completely disconnect from the organization and finally move away from the nationalist ideas of his adolescence. A doctor in Romance Philology from the Universities of Seville and Deusto, Jon Juaristi has been director of the National Library of Spain and the Cervantes Institute. Show less «
