Kayla DaCosta was born in Los Angeles, California. She grew up in Belize, Central America and completed high school in Houston, Texas.DaCosta appeared in the film Remember Me: A Mahalia Jackson Story and the short film Black Butterflies. She has held supporting roles on shows like Abbott Elementary, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Perry Mason, #Black AF, and The Neighborhood. Kayla appears as a Roman Guard and a Coppelius Android in three episodes of Star Trek: Picard.
