Melanie Schinkel

Melanie Schinkel is an Australian actress known for Jailbait (2014), The Dog Who Saved Easter (2014) and The Lady Killers (2015). Melanie has appeared in various commercial and independent releases in the United States and Australia. Melanie grew up on the Gold Coast in Queensland, Australia and studied applied theatre, popular music production and journalism at Griffith University. Melanie was also trained in screen acting techniques by the National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA). Additionally, Melanie is a rock musician, who produces under the artist name, Meliya. Throughout her music career, Melanie (aka Meliya) has performed in various alternative bands and supported well-known Australian acts such as The Radiators, Killing Heidi, Grinspoon and The Butterfly Effect.
