When I came to the US as a student some of my American friends took me to McDonald's. When the food arrived I was about to bite on my burger when some of my friends teased me,"Hey Raj ! You are a Hindu and therefore forbidden from eating beef!" "Isn't the cow supposed to be holy in India ?" I replied, "Yes, the cow is certainly sacred in India, however, this meat comes from an American cow and therefore cannot be considered holy."
