Known as The Lady from the Windy City, Regina grew up wanting to entertain. Her father, Zilner T. Randolph, a musical composer and arranger for Louis Armstrong and Woody Herman, fostered her love of the arts and her desire to perform. She studied vocal intonation with her father and developed her unique style of phrasing which ranges from Gershwin to Sarah Vaughan. As a professional vocalist, this contralto, a contemporary art singer, can do a mean turn at the drop of a baton, whether it is Alto-Pop, Jazz, Spirituals, or Torch.She also studied and performed with Chicago's prestigious Second City. She further studied classical comedy techniques with Ted Liss and voice interpretation/classical drama with the masterful Helen Reuter. With this experience, she left Chicago and headed for Los Angeles where she put her classical and dramatic training to work as lead in such notable stage productions as Romeo and Juliet, Medea, Fences, Raisin In the Sun, and the critically acclaimed NAACP winner Up the Mountain, portraying Jolene. Her versatility as an actress was seen in the play, Fabulation, in which she portrayed four different characters. She also starred in a recent stage production of Tiger, Tiger Burning Bright. Her abilities extended beyond a performing artist as the artistic coach for Romina Arena 's CD titled, Morricone. Uncovered.
