Shafin Karim

Shafin Karim was born in Dar-es-Salaam, Tanzania in East Africa. His family overcame much adversity and were forced to exit Africa and settle in Canada. They worked hard to ensure survival in a new world.Shafin was studying Counseling and heading towards a Masters Degree when he was hit with the bug during a workshop that questioned his choices. He decided on a whim to audition for the Vancouver Asian Community Theater and much to his amazement, they took him on as an understudy. The next few steps were fairly easy. While doing background work, he met a woman that connected him to an agency and eventually he was auditioning, training and following this new passion.He has had the opportunity to work in dynamic roles alongside Isaiah Washington in the Bionic Woman and Garrett Hedlund in TRON 2 Legacy.He is excited about where his career may take him.
