Vonne Patiag

Vonne Patiag is an AACTA and AWGIE nominated Writer, Director, Producer and Actor from Western Sydney, Australia.His recent work includes writing and producing 'The Unusual Suspects' (2021) with Aquarius Films for SBS. He show-ran and directed the popular online series 'Halal Gurls' (2019) for which he has been nominated for the AACTA for Best Online Series and an AWGIE for Best Script - Web Series. He also directed and wrote short films 'Tomgirl' (2018) for SBS and 'Window' (2016), which premiered at the St Kilda Film Festival.His film work spans narrative, documentary, music videos, fashion and branded online content and he also writes and performs for the stage. He is the Director of In-Between Pictures, a production company interested in producing personal stories that explore queer/ethnic intersection and that dissect issues of racism and geographical prejudice prevalent to Australia - localized stories with global appeal.
