Alicia Baker begins as a villain to Clark and his friends but later becomes a strong love interest of his. In Obsession , Alicia is portrayed as being a mentally unstable girl with teleportation powers who is completely obsessed with Clark. When she realizes his one true love is Lana, Alicia tries to kill her so Clark will be all hers. Clark of course saves the day and Alica is sent to the Belle Reeves Institute where she will receive treatment like all the other meteor freaks .Yet Alicia makes a surprising return in season four episodes Unsafe and Pariah . In these tow installments Alicia claims to have been cured, in fact even her doctor says she is his greatest success. Now wearing a lead band on her wrist which restrains her from using her powers, Alicia tries to vie for Clark's love in a normal way. Clark slowly falls for Alicia when he realizes that she is no longer obsessive and the two have a rather healthy relationship together as both know of each others secret powers and can protect one another. Things dont stay happy for long though as Lana, Jason, and others are angry at Clark for allowing a woman who once tried to kill people back into their lives.So it comes as no surprise to everybody that when Lana is attacked by a mysterious sand man, everybody thinks it is Alicia. Fearing she will be driven out of town or once again sent to Belle Reeves Institute, Alicia slips Clark red kryptonite and the two run away to Vegas where they are married. Just as they are about to make love, Alicia begins to feel guilty and takes the kryptonite from him. Clark of course freaks out and the two return to Smallville.Alicia's name is eventually cleared of suspicion when she is in the presence of the towns Sheriff as Jason is attacked outside the Talon. Still, the town and Clark's friends do not trust Alicia and feel she is a threat. Believing that the two can live happily together if the world knew about them both, Alicia sets up a fake accident with Chloe and herself hoping the aspiring journalist will reveal Clark's secret to everybody. But after seeing Clark catch a vehicle that was flying through the air, Chloe instead puts her love for him and their friendship first, thus becoming the new keeper of his secret.Meanwhile, Alicia becomes the final target of the mysterious attacks. The culprit is a disturbed young man who believes that the town of Smallville has been tainted by corruption and immoral activities. Hoping to finish off Lana and Jason, with Alicia being set up as the one responsible, the man hangs Alicia by her neck in a barn. Clark, infuriated by the death of his love, nearly kills the man but instead just uses heat vision to disrupt his sand shifting abilities. Show less «
