Werner Reinhardt was a German who was born in the 1900s. He joined HYDRA in the 1940s. Reinhardt found a device called the Obelisk and experimented its use on different people. Most of the people who touched the Obelisk can't let go. One woman (Skye's mother) touched the Obelisk with no effects. After the fall of HYDRA, Reinhardt was arrested by Peggy Carter. Reinhardt stayed in a prison called the Rat until 1989, when he was in his eighties. Reinhardt was freed by fellow HYDRA agent, Alexander Pierce. Reinhardt found the woman that touched the Obelisk but hasn't aged a day. Reinhardt decided to vivisect the woman and use her organs to make Reinhardt ageless. Reinhardt became the North American leader of HYDRA named Daniel Whitehall. He was killed in 2014 by SHIELD Director Phil Coulson. Show less «
