Jerry Travers is the wise-cracking male lead in the musical film Top Hat. Travers is played by the incomparable Fred Astaire and falls for Dale Tremont, played by his frequent co-star Ginger Rogers. Travers is an American singer and dancer visiting England to perform for British audiences. While in England he falls for Tremont and pursues her to Italy. Tremont begins to fall for Travers as well, but a case of mistaken identity throws a wrench into the budding romance. Hilarity, along with plenty of singing and dancing of course, ensues. Show less «
