God apparently has a penchant for skee-ball, and so he sometimes assumes human form to come down and play. Knowing this, Azriel had his rollerhockey thugs severely beat God in his human form, leaving him unable to return to his duties in Heaven so long as he is trapped in the body at the hospital.
