Maurice is the fictional representation of Maurice Werdegar, the partner at Western Technology Investment that led the first venture debt deal at Facebook in December 2004 with Sean Parker. In February 2005, Maurice also invested equity on behalf of WTI in the second closing of the original $500,000 convertible note from Peter Thiel.
