Nigel Griffin is a Victorian aged intellectual who was part of The Five. The Five, (Dr Helen Magnus, James Watson, John Druitt, Nigel Griffin, Nikola Tesla) pursued knowledge and the sciences. In their pursuits they found out that humans were not the only sentient life forms on the planet. In addition, there were thousands of other abnormal life forms on the planet. The group found some vampire blood and decided to test it on themselves. Each of them developed a special ability from the source blood. In Nigel Griffin's case, he came make himself invisible.He has used his abilities in service to Britain on several occasions.
