Otis was Lex Luther's main henchman. While Luther was quick-witted, brilliant and sophisticated, Otis was the comedic opposite. He was slow to catch onto the scheme, bumbling in its execution, but forever faithful to his boss, but just as greedy. Otis participated in capturing Superman and sending a rocket at California ( Superman: The Movie ). They were both captured and sent to prison. After this, the unfaithful Luther found Otis quite dispensable, leaving him behind in prison, while Luther excaped in to kill Superman ( Superman II ). He probably is still in prison, having been instrumental in Luther's mad attempt to destroy California. Meanwhile, Luther essentially replaced Otis with his own nephew Lenny in his follow-up scheme to create a nuclear man and kill Superman ( Superman IV ). Show less «
