Schmitty was a member of the gang until 1999, when Charlie gave Dennis and Mac an ultimatum and made them choose between him and Schmitty, who'd been Charlie's roommate. They chose Charlie and kicked Schmitty out of the gang (Dennis tossed him out of a moving car).
