Tobie (Donna Mills) is an old flame of Dave Garvers' (Clint Eastwood) who first appears in the movie after Dave has an affair with Helter Skelter crazy woman Evelyn (Jessica Walter). The Tobie character doesn't contribute a lot to the story, other than as the 'pretty young girl' that Dave Garver would like to get back together with. Unfortunately, there is this crazy Evelyn character who's a one-night stand that goes horribly wrong. Perhaps Dave was a Libra and Evelyn was a Scorpio?The character is a sculptress who's been left a house in the Carmel Highlands by her late father. She has a succession of female roommates in order to defray the upkeep of the place. Show less «
