Annie (1982)

The story tells of the new adventures of an innocent girl named Annie. Annie is a slim young orphan who lives in a miserable orphanage run by the tyrannical Miss Hannigan. Over time, Annie is chosen to spend a short time at the residence of the Rich Weapon Funds, Oliver Warsbucks. And quickly, they appeal to the hearts of family employees, even Oliver. Oliver decided to help Annie find her missing parents long by offering them a reward if they came to him and prove their identity. Perhaps things may change, as Miss Honeygan, her brother and her partner plan to impersonate these people to get a reward for themselves, as it seems that Annie will be in great danger.

May 20, 2016 What makes "Annie" so winning is that, while it could have easily been just another cutesy-poo Hollywood musical, it happens to be as gritty, genial and boisterous as little Annie herself.

June 24, 2006 The songs never take off into anything very much, the whole atmosphere (apart from the climax) is distinctly stagebound, and Huston merely reveals why he had never before in his long career been hired to make a musical.
