The film follows the story of a young man named Apu, who is in charge of formal education, but there are some objections from his kind mother. At one point, his mother wanted to be a priest, where after his father died, Apu left his home to study in Calcutta at that moment. His mother must face life alone, as Apu changes everybody's life.
