In this film, Veronica Franco, a 16th-century Venetian concubine, faces difficult decisions while becoming the hero of her city. One day, Veronica's life turns to a different path as she becomes a target of investigation by the Church when envoys from the Vatican accuse her of witchcraft. In order to reverse what happened, it appears that she is resorting to a new method as she has returned with the skin, using the trial as a feminist forum to reveal the hypocrisy of all people.
