The film covers the story of Larry Rayder and Deke Sommers who dream of buying a sports car. They both try to fulfill their dream, as they have a plan to steal $ 150,000 from a supermarket manager. Then, the police chase them across the California countryside, as they battle a battle against their reality in front of the police.
