Shall We Dance

In a dramatic story about a man named John Clark, a real estate lawyer in Chicago. John loves his wife Beverly, but the busy Beverly life seems to have made John feel wrong to choose his wife. One day, John was riding the train back home. He noticed a beautiful young contemplative girl, often coming out of a studio window of Miss Mitzi for dance dancing. This girl, called Paulina, is one of the former world class dancers and dancer. It seems that John fell in love with that girl and therefore begins to learn mass dance lessons.

October 15, 2004 Takes a small, exquisite Japanese movie and turns it into a big, stupid American movie. Still, it must be said that as glossy and overproduced as the thing is, it's a good Big Stupid American movie.

Time Out
June 24, 2006 Offers attractive, inoffensive characters and a smattering of broad laughs, but it fails to use its potential to explore weightier themes such as John's mid-life crisis.
