Sleepers
Trailer
In an exciting story about four teenage friends from the Hills Kitchen, they are sent to the school of reform after making an annoying mistake and accidentally killing a man. In that school, they were treated brutally by guards. After a long time, John and Tommy grow up and become the men who confess their misdeeds, retaliating after 10 years. They are prosecuted by another member of their gang and now a DA assistant, in a case that is most exciting for friends.

August 23, 2009 Boasting a glorious multi-generational cast (De Niro, Hoffman, Brad Pitt, Jason Patric), Levinson's tale of sexual abuse and revenge is just decent, lacking dramatic energy and relying too much on voice-over narration and conventional courtroom procedures

August 14, 2009 It is all legally preposterous. But Levinson is a slick craftsman, his actors are insinuatingly real, and cinematographer Michael Ballhaus casts a disarmingly believable light on these proceedings.
