During 1969 in Florida, journalist Ward Jansnorton started a new mission by returning to his hometown of Florida to investigate a case involving a death sentence. Things seem to be turning around with the help of younger brother Ward Jack and his fellow Charlotte Place, who are on death row. During some time, the fiancée of the imprisoned convicts began to completely turn things around through the feelings of love and confounding vitality of Jack during that period
