The film revolves around a purple phantom (Billy Zhan) that belongs to a series of African superheroes. Phantom decided to travel to New York City in order to take on a new mission to stop a major criminal trying to gain inner skulls with dangerous mythical powers.

June 27, 2016 Maybe "The Phantom" would have been better served betting the house on its old-school aesthetic. Supertitles. Narrators. Melodramatic music. Cheesy? Sure, but bravely so, in a way that would make it a bold outlier rather than a mostly blasé casualty.
