She resides in New York City.She was in a relationship with New York City Marathon founder, Fred Lebow, from 1991-1994 and traveled the world running Marathons and distance races in France, Germany, Italy, Norway, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Siberia, South Africa, Yugoslavia and across the United States.Heather wrote, produced and directed the punk rock documentary, 'The Shield Around the K: The Story of K Records (2000)', receiving both national and international distribution with invitational screenings at over twenty-five film festivals including the New York Underground Film Festival, the Woodstock Film Festival and the Berlin Beta Film Festival. The Shield Around the K garnered favorable reviews from over fifty national and international publications including Spin, Jane, Record Collector, Alternative Press, Magnet and Time Out NY. The film was referenced in "Our Band Could Be Your Life: Scenes from the American Indie Underground 1981-1991" written by Michael Azerrad and published by Little, Brown and Company in 2001.She most recently photographed and produced the short film, Beacons of Light: New York Illuminated (2009). The film, accompanied by Johnny Cash's iconic love song, "I Walk the Line", features over 80 illuminated locations within the five boroughs of New York City.
