J.D. Zeik

J.D. Zeik's original screenplay Ronin (1998), was filmed and released by United Artists in 1998. He also wrote and co-executive produced the TNT film production of Witchblade (2000). "Witchblade" aired in August of 2000, and was the highest rated movie on cable television for the entire year. "Witchblade" is now in its second season on TNT. Zeik also worked on Tian mai zhuan qi (2002), starring Michelle Yeoh and directed by the Academy Award-winning cinematographer 'Peter Pau'. The film wrapped in January of 2002, and is scheduled for release in the Fall of 2002.J.D. graduated from SUNY Purchase, where he started his writing career as a playwright. His plays have been produced in both New York and Los Angeles. Since 2000, he has taught screenwriting at SUNY Purchase in both the film program and in the newly created dramatic writing division.
