Born Maria Carmela D'Agostino on Castle Hill Avenue, Bronx NY and grew up in the suburbs of Long Island, NY. Together with her husband Steve Capp, an advertising executive, raised three children (Steven Thomas Capp, Natasha Capp and Raffaela ) all of whom are actors.Maria is an advocate for arts in education through her work as a director, choreographer, producer, coach and board member for Kids for Kids Productions Inc. and NYSTEA. On stage, Maria has appeared in theatrical productions in Long Island, New York City and Los Angeles. She's trained with Uta Hagen and Michael Beckett as well as at the Stella Adler Conservatory for Acting. She's also worked with Ivana Chubbuck and received certification to teach the 12-Step Chubbuck Method.Her early work as an actress included daytime soap operas and prime time television as well as appearing in over 50 regional and national commercials. Her involvement in films such as De grandes espérances (1998) and Le pacificateur (1997) gave her the opportunity to work alongside renowned actors such as George Clooney , Nicole Kidman , Ethan Hawke , Gwyneth Paltrow and Robert De Niro .
