Raj Nidimoru is an award-winning US-based filmmaker of Indian origin. He partners with Krishna D.K. in writing, directing and producing films.Their debut feature, Flavors (2003), won rave reviews from around the world and is a cult hit, especially among Indian expatriates around the world. The film won a host of awards and was an official entry at over a dozen prestigious international film festivals, including Hamptons, Milan, Cairo, Durban, Bangkok, Mumbai and Hawaii International Film Festivals.They followed up this independent film with a mainstream Hindi film, 99 (2009). 99 (2009) was a big hit at the Indian box office and was number 1 for 4 weeks in a row. It received terrific reviews from the media and the audiences alike; including 4 star reviews from The New York Times to Rediff.com.Earlier Raj and DK were chosen as 'Director Of The Year' by the South Asian Students' Alliance in California. They were also were nominated for 'Best Emerging Director' Award at the Asian-American International Film Festival, New York.Their short film, Shor (2008), a fast-paced, edgy satire, won the 'Best Film' award at MIAAC Film Festival (Indo-American Arts Council, New York) and won 'Best Cinematography' award at San Francisco Shorts.
