To the extent that SOA has comic relief, Chucky is it. He served time in prison with Otto Delaney, who arranges for the club to look after him in exchange for a promised pile of money that Chuck hid while working as a bookkeeper for the Lin Triad. Chuck proves to be less than honest in his business dealings, and is traded between the Triad and the Club like a minor league ball player. Chucky is also a compulsive masturbator. He frequently has his hands down his pants at the worst moments, a trait which grates on the nerves of Triad leader, Henry Lin, who takes extreme measures to remedy the problem.Chucky is something of a mascot for the club, or a dutiful mongrel dog. They treat him poorly, yet rely on him heavily at times. He has come up with crucial solutions to problems for the club.
