A married couple goes to Naples, where Leonard teaches viola and Jane writes. One day on a beach they bump across a 19 year old boy and Jane starts to develop interest in him. They start to have an affair, which gets caught by Leonard but he chose to pardon her and give her a second chance. Now Jane has to decide who she wants to spend her life with.
