The film tells about a young, beautiful, married Anna who meets Count Wasim Fronsky. One day, they both face a difficult experience as they both fall in love. After joining her in Saint Petersburg, it appears that both are facing a new experience where they have an emotional love affair, and their happiness may eventually be undermined by the pressure they face.
