Russell Mael

One-half of the quirky, quasi-comical 1970's American pop duo 'Sparks' with brother Ron Mael. In their early career, Russell was the lead singer with long, curly black hair and a high-pitched falsetto voice, while Ron sat down and played keyboards, sported shorter oily, slick-backed black hair and a black mustache similar to that worn by Adolf Hitler, and would often make funny faces and smile slyly, almost like that of a villain in a The Perils of Pauline (1914)-type silent movie.
